Ullswater has a plethora (good word eh) of things to do all around it, whether you are on land, water or in the air sometimes!

Aira Force Waterfall is about 10 mins drive down from Pooley Bridge and is one of the main attractions of the area. It is a great thing to do for a morning/afternoon or if you link it with a big walk, a whole day.

“Probably the most famous of the Lake District waterfalls, Aira Force provides a glimpse of a landscaped Victorian park with dramatic waterfalls, arboretum and rocks scenery. The main force falls 70 feet from below a stone footbridge and is on land owned by the national trust”.

Unless you are a member there is a small charge for parking and entry to the area but it is well worth it.

The round trip from the car park to the waterfall is about 20/30 mins but there is plenty of lovely woodland walk to see throughout. There are numerous walks that start at this point also so you can easily link on a big walk to complement your visit to the area. A MUST!

Sometimes words aren’t required – just look at the Pictures 🙂
